Anonymous voice chat

Anonymous voice chat lets people talk by microphone without creating a public profile or joining a permanent social feed.

How anonymous matching works

The browser asks for microphone permission, the app places you in a waiting queue, and the signaling service pairs you with another available caller.

For the MVP, operational records are intentionally minimal: enough metadata for reliability, reports, cooldowns, and abuse prevention, not audio recordings or chat transcripts.

What anonymous should not mean

Anonymous does not mean consequence-free. Random chat needs blocking, reports, rate limits, and clear community rules so normal users can leave bad calls quickly.

Privacy habits

Treat any stranger chat like a public place. Keep personal identifiers private, avoid sharing accounts or contact details, and use rematch when the conversation no longer feels useful.

FAQ

Is anonymous voice chat the same as private voice chat?

Anonymous means you do not need a public profile. It does not mean you should share private details with strangers.

Does anonymous voice chat store audio?

The MVP direction is no default audio recording. Operational metadata is used for matching, reports, cooldowns, and reliability.

Can anonymous users be moderated?

Yes. Reports, rate limits, cooldowns, and blocks can apply to anonymous client hashes without public profiles.
